Sebastien Loeb Pikes Peak World Record 2013 Full Onboard 8'13 "878. Mind you this is on an all tar road. Now for those of us old enough to rmember the glory days of Wide World of Sports on a Saturday afternoon, this piece of footage used to get the odd run. For mine, it's my favourite Pikes Peak flick. Note: Ari V is some 1m 30s slower than Loeb is today, but not only are the cars better, but Ari Vatanen had a lot of dirt road to contend with. Love the front bar mounted pics at 3m 50 sec. |

Paddle shift, no dirt and the whisle of a blower.Its alot easier these days. Still would s,,t myself if i got taken for a run.lol. I like the snow at the top as well hay. |

Just watched the old one and alot more steering and work back then. 1.5 min differance.I think the old blokes did it better.Cars, dirt and teck on the cars,Not to shaby for the old cars to be only that time slower i think. Like the dirt driving better. |

Yep, I think Ari had a tad more skill, plus the sun in his eyes. The Ari footage is just take more entertaining to watch. |
