Courage and skill....beautiful to watch. I suspect if the commentators had to cut to him mid lap, he'd chatted away very casually.

He could chat and drive at the same time as he has done many a time and even with a bugged gearbox where he had to hold it in gear and steer with one hand and still had time to chat.lol.

How good were the old blokes in the wet. Pouring rain in what was still then basically a road car and no swapping of paint, just fair, hard, side by side racing. This is why I loved touring cars back in the day
