well only about time I got stuck back into this car so after brief mock up I have finally finished stripping her down today, Big plans on the horizon but unfortunately these things cant be rushed.. I definitely do not envy anyone removing the door trims let me tell you lol but that's for a different conversion all together the grand plan consists of new technology in an old girl so will sporting a ls1 turbo setup mainly due to room for extractors well maybe that's a cop out but im sticking to it & backed up by a 6 speed into 9 inch diff , I will post a pick of how she currently sits as of 24/09/2013 and possibly every moth or so so far I have most all parts required to assemble including full le lip kit and all usual Calais gear, I have a holandia 700 sunroof as they are ridiculously easy to install yourself, v8 & 6 speed, all paint supplies & rust panels as much as she was a really straight car under the carpets front footwell tad bit soft and rear window cowl and boot floor are yet to be welded in due to rust... I'm hoping to learn a lot as I progress through as most of the work and paint are being done under my carport in a makeship garage due to my senator taking proirty with the vl parts lol |

im hoping for her to be painted by April my old neighbour is helping me refine my painting skills and organising a booth for us to paint in so pretty excited to get it done coz after rough mock up im keen as hell lol im using a vs 5lt k-frame and tuff mounts ls1 conversion so I don't have to relocate starter as using a smaller starter so soo far so good just need to get this body perect and get it all back in, I have it rolling on a 6 cylinder k frame and hoping to have the 5lt one of for powder coating so I can put my press to good use and get front end assembled ready to be bolted up after paint |
