“A day in the Park”
Sunday 4 May 2014




Date: Sunday 4 May 2014

Meet time: 8.30am for a 9.00am departure.

Meet point: Hungry Jacks – Windsor Road & James Ruse Drive, North Parramatta

Destination: McMahons Park – Kurrajong (McMahons Park Rd off old Bells Line of Road)

What you will need to bring along

• A full tank of petrol
• UHF radio (and batteries)
• BYO food, nibbles and drinks (eating utensils)
• Chairs / rug etc
• Appropriate clothing
• A footy, kite, RC cars, whatever is legal fun! (plenty of space)
• A relaxed frame of mind for fun day driving and kicking back

So if this sounds like an event you and the family would like to attend, please post in this thread. If you have grand kids, bring them too…..it’ll be fun day at the park for all.

Start Point: Hungry Jacks – Windsor Road & James Ruse Drive, North Parramatta


1. Head north-west on Windsor Rd towards Exit Cumberland Highway 4.0 km
2. Turn right onto Old Northern Rd 3.4 km
3. Turn right onto Cecil Ave/Terminus St Continue to follow Terminus St 650 m
4. Continue onto Old Northern Rd 2.5 km
5. Turn right onto Hastings Rd 900 m
6. Turn left onto New Line Rd Go through 1 roundabout 1.7 km
7. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Old Northern Rd heading to Dural/Wisemans Ferry
9.4 km
8. Turn left onto Cattai Ridge Rd (signs for Maraylya) 10.2 km
9. Turn left to stay on Cattai Ridge Rd 2.3 km
10. Continue onto Pitt Town Dural Rd (signs for Pitt Town/Windsor) 1.2 km
11. Turn left onto Scheyville Rd (signs for Maraylya/Windsor) 5.3 km
12. Continue straight onto Old Stock Route Rd 400 m
13. Turn right onto Saunders Rd (signs for Windsor) 900 m
14. Turn left onto Pitt Town Rd/Tourist Drive 15 (signs for Windsor) 2.5 km
15. Turn right onto Windsor Rd/A2 (signs for Windsor Road/Metroad 2/State Route 40)
Continue to follow A2 1.4 km
16. Turn left onto Macquarie St (signs for Metroad 9/Macquarie Street/Richmond/Lithgow/Penrith)
1.2 km
17. Turn right onto Hawkesbury Valley Way/B59 Continue to follow B59 6.1 km
18. Turn left onto East Market St/B59/Tourist Drive 14 (signs for Lithgow) 190 m
19. Turn right onto March St/B59 Continue to follow B59 11.1 km
20. Turn left onto Old Bells Line Of Rd 500 m
21. Take the 2nd right onto McMahons Park Rd 500 m

Hey all...a Day in the Park isn't far away.

It's a great day at Kurrajong. Just kick back in the rural setting, let the kids run around and enjoy the day....nice and easy!
