Thats the King at work with the best make of car in the country. The 94 speed comparision and you will hear the best car to ever make F,,d look like a billy cart. Dont forget to turn the volume up so you can hear that 308 Torana sing. I cant stop watching it.Just a awsome tuff car to watch on the track. I also think that as Brock didn't drive that year because his car was hit and out of the race before he go in it. This would be the last time he drove the mountain race speed on Bathurst weekend,In the same Torana that he drove in 79 and one by 6 laps. Gives me goose bumps.lol. |

If you read the comments they put the wrong diff ratio in the tori and as i said ether that SS wasn't standard cause in proper race trim that tori would off smashed that SS. Standard two spot brakes on the SS wouldnt' even last half a lap let alone pull you up at the chase at 240 after coming over the mountain. Even with the age and engine diff the tori with bigger brakes,Lighter,tyres and suspension is a faster car. The SS is heavy'er,Maybe the same hp in standard form,2 spot front brakes and the tyres didn't look that wide with stock suspension,They must think we are idiots. |

I just read up that Brock and Mconville did more than one lap,Like a couple of laps to work out the times.One guy said he was there when they did this and the crowd was not told what was going on but he said that one run Brock strarted under the bridge on conrod and Mconville on the start line and after one lap Brock came back around under the bridge with Mconville not all that close behind him. Good to see Brocky have fun though.Always a good sport. That Tori would smash that ss all over the track. I hate it when they make a great car like that look bad just to sell a car. Have respect for our elders.lol.I love the 308.Trusty and strong. Coxi realy got me going.lol. |
